An even sadder coda to the Happy story has emerged from Iran. A group of young Iranians who participated in making a Tehran video clip of the hit song have been arrested. Full story in the Guardian.

If you want to see what the face of courage looks like, google the name Reyhane Taravati. When a group of Iranian youngsters make a video in which they are dancing without proper Hejab (at least, according to the Iranian authorities) you could call them naive or reckless, but when the moment they are released one of them puts a picture of herself on the internet, proudly proclaiming she’s back (sans headscarf), you realize this is the face of courage.
